Meeting Venue
City AIDS 2008 UNITAR/UNAIDS Knowledge Sharing Workshop On City Response to HIV/AIDS in the Baltic Sea Region will be held in The National Library of Estonia. The building of the National Library of Estonia is specially designed for the library and was constructed between 1985 and 1993.
In addition to its function as a library, The National Library of Estonia also serves as a cultural center, hosting exhibitions, conferences, performances, concerts and other cultural events.
The National Library of Estonia is conveniently located in the centre of Tallinn, within a 10-minute walk to conference hotels and walking distance to the old town. It is a modern building whose unique architecture and interior create a pleasant conference setting. Comfortable conference rooms, technical equipment and the library’s databank are at your disposal.


Getting to the meeting venue
Location close to the Port of Tallinn (3 km) and not far from the Tallinn Airport (5 km) makes National Library of Estonia easily accessible. Most convenient way is to take a taxi. There are taxi stations in front of the airport and port terminals. Tulika is the recommended taxi company.

Hotell St. Barbara
Accommodation
Accommodation during the workshop will be in Hotel St. Barbara. Hotel St. Barbara is centrally located within the walking distance of Tallinn Old Town, sight seeings and shopping centres. For all participants the accommodation and meal costs will be provided during the workshop. The flight tickets will be provided as well.

Language
Working language of the Workshop is English and Russian, with English-Russian and Russian-English translation being provided.


Coffee breaks and lunches
Coffee breaks and lunches will be covered by organisers and will take place in The National Library of Estonia.
